Blessing Dress

I am so grateful that my Grandma has inspired me to sew
—and especially to sew beautiful things. She really is smiling.
For the dress, I wanted to make something simple yet elegant. I chose to make the dress out of dupioni silk and organza. I sewed each pearl on by hand. And of course made a matching headband and bracelet.

A little more detail of the bodice: beading, handmade flower accent, bracelet. I love the crispness of the dupioni silk and the bare feet.

Of course I am a biased mother, but I thought Kannah looked like a princess or an angel—because to me she is. I look forward to teaching her (and Kady) all about the blessings of being a daughter of God and our royal heritage.
